Your new email address will be of the form <your choice>@jumpgates.com where can choose <your choice> to be what you like. Please note that though we do not limit the size of your incoming or outgoing email we limit the
space on the server for your saved emails to 1 MB. But experience
shows that this is more than most people need.
With a Jumpgates web account you can become an active participant
of the growing Internet community. Your pages can be found at
http://www.jumpgates.com/<your choice>. As always it's up to you to decide what <your choice> should be.
Thanks to the FTP access you can update you data whenever you
feel like doing so. An Jumpgates web account also includes an
email account.
In order to facilitate it for your customers to find your web
site, registering an own domain name is a good idea. But usually
setting up a server and maintaining it is a tiresome task and
costs lots of money.
To help you in such a situation, we provide the Jumpgates domain
account. Your customers can find your pages at http://www.<your choice>.com (Or .ch depending on your preference.) where <your choice> is usually your company's name. (But it's not limited to that,
of course.) We do all the administrative work such as registering
your domain with the NIC (Network Information Center) service
and setting up the server as well as maintaining it.
Since many domain names are allready taken, we advise you to provide
us with a list of alternatives should the desired name allready
be registered to somebody else.
The NIC services usually demand a registration fee that you have
to pay to them directly.
A domain account also includes the advantages of a web account
such as FTP access for personal updates and an email address.
