Spiral Mountain

You start the game in your house. It is the key to several "cheat" codes you can find in the game. On top of the chimney is an extra live. You can only reach it when you know how to do the "Flap Flip Jump".

General Tips

Bottles will teach you quite a couple of moves here and you will also learn that your parents have been lying to you all those years: vegetables are bad!
To learn new moves stand next to a mole hill and press the B-Button. If you don't want to do all the trainings again and again you can tell Bottles so and he will give you all moves you can learn on Spiral Mountain at once. Very handy when you start a new game and don't want to spend too much time doing the easy stuff.
When you've learned everything climb up the mountain and enter Grundilda's Lair.

Moves

1. Camera controls
You can rotate the camere using the Left and Right C-Buttons. The Down C-Button is used to toggle the three zooms. With the Up C-Button you move the camera to your point of view and you can look in any direction. Handy for searching Jinjos or the like. The R-Button will move the camera behind your back. If you continue to hold the R-Button the camera will follow you. Notice that sometimes the camera is fixed and you cannot control its position. C-Up will always work.

2. High Jump
Simply hold the A-Button while you are jumping to get a little more height.

3. Feathery Flap
Also called Double Jump. While still in the air press A again to make Kazooie flap her wings and you can glide a short time. Very handy when falling from high places since it breaks your fall. It also makes it easier to land on small platforms.

4. Flap Flip
Hold the Z-Trigger and then press A. You can jump higher this way and you can reach platforms you cannot reach with a normal jump.

5. Swimming underwater
First press the B-Button to dive and then press B again to make Kazooie spread her wings for fast movement. Press A for slow movement. You can brake the fast movement by pressing A. For shark turns press the R-Button while turning.

6. Climbing
Jump onto a tree or a vine and you will hold on to it. By moving the analoque stick up or down you can climb up or down.

7. Beak Buster Attack
The key to many secrets is this move. While in the air press the Z-Trigger to attack ground targets. You can also trigger switches and solve several puzzles this way.

8. Claw Swipe Attack
Press the B-Button to make Banjo swing his fists. Not very usefull.

9. Roll Attack
This move lets you take out enemies without having to stop. Simply run toward the enemy and then press B while running. Notice that Banjo will stop for a split second after a roll so don't try this when you're surrounded by enemies.

10. Rat-A-Tat Rap
Press the B-Button while in the air and Kazooie will use her beak against any enemy or obstacle in front of you. Very handy to smash windows or to kill flying foes.

Jigsaw Piece

1. The only Jiggy you can find here is actually inside Gruntilda's Lair, on to of the stack left to the entrance.

Honeycomb Pieces

1. Close to the house on the left. Use the Flap Flip to get it.

2. Underwater beneath the bridge.

3. Above the tree left of the bridge. Climb it!

4. Kill all veggies during the attack training.

5. On one of the platforms next to the waterfall.

6. Destroy the four boulders and there you are: and extra Honeycomb for your health!

Extra Lives

1. Just on the top of your house. Use the Flap Flip from the chimney to get it.

2. Behind the waterfall. Use the Feathery Flap to get it.

That's about all you can find in Spiral Mountain.
